This Doodle celebrates the first match and start of the UEFA Women’s EURO Cup 2025 football tournament hosted in Switzerland. This quadrennial tournament, first held in 1984, is the prime competition for national teams belonging to the UEFA confederation. This year’s tournament mascot is Maddli, an energetic Saint Bernard puppy named after Madeleine Boll, who was the first-ever female licensed footballer in Switzerland.
